About Us

A student-led initiative with a simple mission: bring joy to children in the hospital.

The Story Behind The Piece Project

The Piece Project started in 2024 when Jackson, a high school student, visited a family friend's child in the hospital. He noticed how long the days felt — how much time there was, and how little there was to fill it.

He went home, found a LEGO set he'd built years ago, and brought it back. The reaction was immediate. Within minutes, the child was absorbed in building, laughing, asking questions. The hospital room felt different.

Jackson came home and thought: what if more kids could have that? What if a community could come together to make sure every child in the hospital had something to build?

That question became The Piece Project. What started as one student with one idea has grown into a community initiative collecting and delivering LEGO sets to children in local hospitals.

Jackson

Founder & Student

Jackson is a high school student who believes young people have the power to make a real difference. He started The Piece Project in 2024 and has been running it ever since — coordinating donations, arranging hospital deliveries, and growing the community one piece at a time.

"I'm just a student. But I've seen what a LEGO set can do for a kid in the hospital. That's all the reason I need."

Our Team

The Piece Project is run entirely by student volunteers. We're a small but dedicated group committed to making every donation count.
